Elements of the program:

• To provide a learning environment that is particularly suited to the needs of the gifted child

• To provide enrichment opportunities and specific activities to students in the following areas:

a. Independent and Self Directed Studies

b. Higher Level and Critical Thinking Skills

c. Decision Making

d. Creative Problem Solving

e. Creative Expression

• To promote activities that incorporate multi-disciplinary approaches to instruction

Description of Services:
The program offers many different inclusive strategies to meet the
needs of the identified students in the school. Four areas of focus
are:

Exposure – offering students new and different learning opportunities
Extension – expanding the curriculum through independent studies
Development – designing the program to meet students’ needs and interests
Acceleration – moving students at rates that is commensurate with their development

It is via this framework that comprehensive K – 8 programs is being
developed and implemented.
